Top Ten Crazy Turntable Designs! (yes, but can they play records?)

There are some crazy turntable designs out there to suit every crazy taste under the sun. So if you are not happy with your old traditional boring looking player here are some examples that may tickle your fancy instead.

Horning SATI

Goldmund Reference II

TTWeights Audio Gem Ultra

Before rushing to the store to order any of these monsters of vinyl players you better go and make sure you have enough cash in the bank because some of these babies go for totally insane prices. The Goldmund Reference II for instance is a cool $300 000 US, while the butt ugly Dereneville VPM turntable is reported to cost a whopping $650 000! Why? Because there are always some rich schmucks around that have more money than good old fashioned common sense.

Want a good sensible turntable that will give you great sound at an affordable price? Well then why not check out Pro-ject Audio Systems or Rega Research Limited who both produce top class turntables at a price that won't break the bank. But whatever you do, do not get those nasty cheapie turntables that will grind the groove right out of your precious vinyl discs, like this one or this one.
